Niger beat Nigeria to qualify for the 2011 African Nations Championship, proving that there is no shortage of quality in their side.
It is a first-ever visit to a continental championship for the side and will be a great experience for the players, who have been drawn in Group B along with 2009 runners-up Ghana, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
By coincidence, the full Niger national side are also in their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualification group with South Africa, where they also beat Egypt 1-0 in the country's finest hour so far on the football pitch.
The CHAN side is led by coach Harouna Douala, who took his side to Algeria for a friendly recently, but lost 4-1.
