This will be East African guests Tanzania’s second appearance at the COSAFA Cup after a previous visit to the tournament 16 years ago.
They played in the inaugural event in 1997, drawing three of their four games, including a 2-2 stalemate with eventual champions Zambia.
Their only defeat was a 3-0 loss to Mozambique, but it put them out of contention for the title.
They ere scheduled to compete in the 2009 competition held in Zimbabwe, but later declined the invitation.
The current side are coached by the Dane Kim Poulsen and have become a competitive unit in recent years.
Players like TP Mazembe forward Mbwana Samatta have helped improve results and remain in contention for World Cup qualification in Brazil at the halfway stage of the pool phase.
That includes a 3-1 win over fancied Morocco in March this year.
Tanzania have previously qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations on just one occasion, back in 1980, when they failed to get past the first round.
