Zimbabwe qualified for their fourth successive African Nations Championship (CHAN) by beating Comoros and Lesotho in the qualifiers. The Warriors participated in consecutive events in the Ivory Coast, Sudan and South Africa - exiting the competition at the group stages in the first two tournaments before a fourth place finish two years ago capped their best showing at CHAN. The Southern Africans, who are coached by Callisto Pasuwa, head to Rwanda with a squad depleted of a few first choice players due to injury, something that has hindered their preparation for the continental showpiece. Zimbabwe have won the COSAFA Cup on four occasions.
