Horoya Athletique Club from Guinea dropped out of the Champions League in the second round after a 3-0 aggregate defeat to Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien.
The Conakry club won the African Cup Winners’ Cup (a predecessor of the Confederation Cup) back in 1978, which remains their only notable achievement in African club competition.
The 12-time Guinee Championnat National winners were formed in 1975 and play their home games at the Stade 28 Septembre in Conakry.
They have no nickname, but are often referred to as HAC (the acronym of their full name).
