Zamalek will try to reach the last four of the competition after failing in their previous attempt last season when they were placed in a tough group that included their arch rivals Al Ahly.
The Cairo foes have been drawn in the same group again alongside AC Leopards of Congo and Orlando Pirates which makes the task of the White Knights difficult.
Managed by Brazilian coach Jorvan Veiria, Zamalek reached the group phase after defeating St George (Ethiopia), AS Vita Club (DR Congo) and Gazelle FC (Chad).
Though they have often lived in the shadow of their arch rivals Ahly, Zamalek have a proud record in the CAF Champions League as they have won the title five times.
Getting out of the group will be no easy task for any of the teams but Zamalek will fancy their chances of reaching the last four thanks to the talented players in their squad.
